The Herthels

Pastor Cory,
& Hayden

Pastor Cory Herthel grew up in a typical secular home.  Neither of his parents had a Christian foundation, and so neither did he.The Lord was very rarely mentioned.  Bible Study & regular devotional time were nonexistent.  However, the Lord looked beyond his upbringing and early in his teen years, Pastor Cory accepted Jesus as his best friend, Savior, and Lord of his life.

Since becoming a Christian in 1996, Pastor Cory has had many opportunities to share his faith in Jesus with others.  Soon after he was baptized, he was invited to preach his first sermon at the age of 15.  From that point forward the Lord consistently provided opportunities for preaching, Bible Study, and sharing the truth.  Pastor Cory genuinely loves sharing the hope of the soon coming of Jesus Christ and The Three Angels' Messages of Revelation 14, as understood by Seventh-day Adventists.

He met his wife Christal in December, 2000.  They were married on July 12, 2003 and moved from Indianapolis, Indiana to Chattanooga, Tennessee so he could study Theology at Southern Adventist University.  From June, 2007 until August, 2012, Pastor Cory & Christal both worked in banking.  Their son, Hayden was born on September 20, 2008.

Our pastor, his wife Christal, and their son Hayden, joined the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in September, 2012.  This is Pastor Cory's first assignment in full-time ministry.  He and his family look forward to the days, months, and years to come in full-time service in the Lord's work.  They solicit your prayers that Christ may be emulated in their lives and that God may be glorified through their ministry to the communities they serve until He comes in the clouds that Day.  They wish to extend a very warm invitation to all who are seeking Christ in their lives to come see what we are all about at the Mount Pleasant, MI

Seventh-day Adventist Church.
